Our History
The National Liberation Front of Iran (JAM) is a popular, national, and non-partisan organization established to unite Iranians in the struggle against despotism and in pursuit of freedom and democracy. With the participation of numerous activists from various political spheres, it was founded on the 25th of Tir, 1381 (July 16, 2002), the anniversary of the conquest of Tehran and the victory of the constitutionalists, through the efforts of a group of patriots under the leadership of the late Amir Houshang Houshmand
Our Goals
- To support the Iranian people's struggle for freedom, justice, and dignity
- To promote the peaceful transition from the Islamic Republic to a secular and democratic system
- To build a united front among the Iranian diaspora across ideological and political differences
- To defend human rights, civil liberties, and the rule of law for all Iranians, regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, or belief
- To support grassroots movements and civil resistance inside Iran by amplifying their voices internationally
- To contribute to the democratic reconstruction of Iran based on pluralism, social justice, and national sovereignty.
- To reject all forms of foreign intervention and advocate for a free, independent Iranian future shaped by its own people.
Our Programs
We strive to organize public events, expert panels, and community gatherings in our countries of residence to raise awareness among citizens and political institutions about the realities of repression in Iran. One of our top priorities is to amplify the voices of women and men who have been imprisoned or face execution inside Iran due to their political or civil engagement. At the same time, we seek to bring together diverse opposition forces against the Islamic Republic to foster solidarity, constructive dialogue, and coordinated action.
